Manual impact percussion presses generate their force in a sudden burst. A spring is tensioned by hand or by means of a pneumatic cylinder. After a de-fined spring tensioning stroke, the stored energy is then suddenly released and transmitted to the tool.
The percussive force of the press can be adjusted by means of a star knob.
Impact percussion presses are therefore often used as embossing presses.
